Registration is now open for Carbon Management Canada’s first annual conference to be held at the Calgary Westin Hotel, May 17 to 20, 2011.
CMC will cover accommodation, travel, meals and conference fees for Round 1 CMC-funded researchers and up to two HQP for each investigator. Costs are covered for Round 2 investigators only.
Round 1 and 2 investigators are welcome to bring additional HQP. Entry to the conference will be free. CMC will not cover accommodation and travel.
Pre-conference activities
CMC has partnered with Suncor to offer a pre-conference tour Ft. McMurray on May 17. The one-day trip will include a tour of Suncor’s facilities, a trip to the Oil Sands Discovery Centre and a round-table discussion with community leaders in Ft. McMurray. CMC is also offering a pre-conference course titled Carbon Capture Technology and Economics. This one-day overview, also on May 17 will be taught by David Butler, who has 20 years experience with the power industry. For information and to register see the conference website.
