CMC Research Institutes, Inc. was incorporated as a not-for-profit corporation under federal statutes in 2013. The company is hosted by the University of Calgary and is located in University Research Park. The administrative team is headed by Richard Adamson, President. Scientific leadership is provided by Scientific Director Dr. Steve Larter.
Key governing bodies
CMC’s principal governing bodies are its Board of Directors and the Research and Innovation Management Committee.
The Board of Directors is responsible for the overall governance of the network and members, as foremost experts in their fields, provide invaluable advice. Board members are drawn from academic, industry, government, and NGO sectors in Canada and internationally.
The Research and Innovation Management Committee provides guidance and oversight of research and innovation activities and strategies. The 12-member committee includes representatives of CMC’s internal leadership team and external members drawn from academia, government and industry, both domestically and internationally.
