The Research and Innovation Management Committee (RIMC), which is currently under development, provides guidance and oversight of research and innovation activities and strategies. Chaired by the Chief Scientist, also a member of the CMC Leadership Team, this 12-member committee will include the Institute Director or Senior Research Director of each institute or group, plus the Vice President of Programs. External members will be drawn from academia, government and industry, both domestically and internationally.
Among the committee’s responsibilities will be providing technical advice relating to major strategic initiatives, and reviewing development and assessing proposed new initiatives and major projects. The committee also has oversight, via the Chief Scientist, of Quality Assurance functions for the organization.
