CMC actively searches out and builds relationships with a diverse group of individuals and organizations with common aims and interests. CMC works with talented, world-class experts in industry, government, academia, and non-government organizations.
CMC is engaged with five industries, two levels of government and four government departments, two national and two international non-government organizations, 28 Canadian academic institutions and one American university.
Partnership with CMC brings many advantages to companies and public-sector organizations:
- Access to some of Canada’s top minds and world-class researchers – a benefit to companies with and without R&D budgets.
- Partners may have first rights to IP or commercialization, depending on the arrangements developed in collaboration with the research team.
- Companies working with CMC can take advantage of Canada’s research tax credits, thereby reducing the cost of research.
- Access to a pool of potential employees. CMC has over 200 students and postdocs working at universities across Canada. These young experts are gaining valuable multidisciplinary experience in the field of carbon management.
